how to open blocked sites

I have discussed many ways like using proxy sites, Translating tools like Google translator , url redirection techniques and cached pages to open blocked sites at school and office hereIf those tricks can not fool your firewall here is one for you. Usually firewalls at colleges and offices check the url for restricted key words and domain names, if they find any such words in the url you are trying to open then they prevent you access to that page.So now we are going to trick the firewall by accessing the site using the ip address of the server on which the site is hosted, to find the ip address of the site you can use this site
http://www.hcidata.info/host2ip.htm
In the above page type the website you want to acess in host name and it will give you the IP address of the site, fire this ip in your browser and your firewall is fooled.
Here is a qucik list of server addresses of popular websites
YouTube.Com –> http://208.65.153.238/
Facebook.Com –>http://69.63.176.140/
MySpace.Com –>http://216.178.38.116/
Advantage of this method:
The main advantage of this method is, you need not compromise on speed as you will be connecting directly to the site.
Limitations of this method:
Doesnt work if your firewall blocked the ipo address of the site.
Doesnt work if the site uses absolute urls rather than realtive (MySpace.Com uses absolute urls so you will not be able to go beyond the first page with this method.
If the site is on a shared server (i.e., Many sites hosted on the same server ) this trick will not work.

some useful Google tips n tricks

Searching on Google can be a magical experience once you find out how to make your search queries efficient. By making efficient I mean using some tricks or the cheat sheet provided by Google itself to quickly find what you actually require. Having being hooked onto Google for a long time now, I have come across some amazing search tricks which can change the way you look at Google today.
In this article I will list down the search tricks which I use quite frequently. Be it finding time, meanings or watching the cricket score, searching PDF’s, with Google as the search engine life cannot be more simpler. Here are the 10 most amazing Google Search tricks:
1. Different Types of Files at your willHow many times would you have asked for materials (PDF, PPT, DOC) for a particular topic from a friend? Its almost everyday that we might have the necessity to ask them either for knowledge, preparing a presentation, white-paper or for case studies. Such times it mostly difficult to look out what to exactly search for because most of the times you don’t know about the topic at hand. But this petty keyword unleashes its lethal power at such occasions.
Let’s say I want to implement a case study on SOA which means I have to read a lot of information for SOA. So I just have to find materials which might have already been uploaded on the web in the form of PDF’s, DOC’s or PPT’s. These materials can be easily obtained by doing a search for:
PDF - service oriented architecture filetype:pdf
PPT - service oriented architecture filetype:ppt
DOC - service oriented architecture filetype:doc
2. Scholarly SearchIf you want some authenticity of the materials then it would be better to find the materials from educational institutes or universities. For this use the Google scholar search. But suppose you don’t like to switch to Google scholar search you can add the same query with an additional parameter to the normal Google search box,
service oriented architecture filetype:pdf site:edu
3. Meanings of any word in an instantNow you do not have to carry a dictionary or install a dictionary software just for the purpose of finding out a meaning of a word. With the wealth of information in Google’s hands, its a piece of cake to find out the meaning of the word. Just use the define: keyword. The meaning would of course be displayed but also a set of other links which might have an alternative definition are also given out with the link to read more about it.
define:beureaucracy
You would argue here that, a dicitionary gives out more information than this. But what about words that don’t actually fall within the vocabulary. Suppose you want to know what SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) is then you would have no choice. Google Search comes to your rescue in this case,
Abbreviations - define: SOA
Jargons - define: Web 2.0
SMS language - define: LOL
4. Find the time of any locationMany of us might be probably working for client which are based at different locations. And communication has to be carried out frequently carried out in such cases. But before a communication you have to know which time zone the location is falling into otherwise you would be causing a disturbance.
I have seen people installing time zone software for showing the time of the location they would be calling to. But with Google at your hands you don’t have to install any software. It would be just simple to use a query for finding the current time such as,
time new york
psst….look closely the time on the little clock graphic. It also shows the perfect time!
5. Weather at your fingertipsI had been to GOA for a Christmas vacation in the last week of December. But I made a mistake of not finding out the temperature of GOA before leaving. Had I known that it is hot even in the winter I would not have made the mistake of carrying additional luggage consisting of blankets and jackets.
If you are thinking to visit a place it is useful to know what the temperature of the place is before hand, it can make efficient packing. Google helps you here too. Just use this query without asking anybody or waiting for the news to make a weather report. I wish I had thought of this!
goa weather
6. Google does live commentary too!Indians are cricket fanatics. But its amusing to see the organizations here trying to put together tactics to devoid cricket lovers from wasting time to watch the cricket scores instead of doing their work. What I think they fail to understand is that by blocking the live cricket scoring sites they are actually making the employees more curios and provoking them to hunt for proxy networks or listen to the radio or chat with their friends elsewhere.
Jokes apart, you actually don’t need proxy networks to view the live cricket scores if you at least have access to Google. If you want to find the latest info about all the cricket matches then just type,
cricket
But if you want to find out only about a particular match then use only the names of the two playing nations,
India Australia
Remember that the scorecard will come only when the play is going on.
7. Calculate with your browserEvery OS has a calculator inbuilt but when the browser is the thing which is constantly open whey bother to open up a calculator. Open Google and straight away type your mathematical expression. You can go all the way from basic arithmetic to trigonometrical expressions. This is simply amazing stuff accomplished by Google.
26 * 9000
sin(90) / cos (90)
8. Compare your currency with othersNow that the dollar is declining, the rest of the world must be busy trying to check the impact of the dollar on their currencies. But first of all one must know how much a particular currency amounts to when cashed in another currency. Google’s inbuilt currency converter just does this.
1 USD in INR
1 EUR in INR
9. Keep track of the stocksWith the booming stock market it is very important to track the stocks on a day to day basis. Putting a stock ticker in the search box is the most obvious thing you would think of. But it is not always you would remember the stock ticker, you should add the keyword “stocks:” to the company name.
The best part of the obtained result is that it provides a chart which shows the trend in the company’s stock along with important statistics.
stocks: INFY
Note: Currently the results are restricted to the companies listed in the US stock markets.
10. Wanna find some faces? This is most interesting trick. You might be needing images for various occasions and searching for images is the most difficult thing because what we expect might not be possibly mapped to a query. But Google has a parameter in place for images in situations we need an image which describes a face.
Suppose I search for the term “happy” then the Google results page displays smileys. But I would like to use images of happy people. Even if I choose the term as “happy face” the results don’t show images which contain people. For this there is a parameter “imgtype” which you can use with the URL. For this put in the URL as follows:
http://images.google.co.in/images?q=happy&imgtype=face
There are many more variations which can be bought about with the above tricks thus making your search experience not only enriching but also exciting. If I have missed any tricks of common usage, feel free to mention it.
Update 1: Google keeps on experimenting new ways of searching. If you liked the above tricks then don’t miss out my article which mentions how to use the new search experiments introduced by Google. Believe me, they are brilliant!

improve security by using Double Password

Strong passwords should have a significant length and cannot contain normal words. Only random digits and letters of different case. Such passwords are extremely hard to remember and it takes time to enter. But, even strong passwords have their weaknesses. When you type a password, it can be intercepted by a spy program that logs all your keystrokes. Others can see what you type (even if the password field on the screen is masked, the password can be read by buttons you hit on your keyboard.)
Until now, the only solution was to buy a secure token. A secure token is a hardware key that is used instead of or in addition to your normal password authentication. There are two main problems with the hardware solution, though. First, it is expensive. And second, you can use them only with software that has built-in support for this method of authentication. But, from now on, you can turn any USB flash drive into a secure token! No need to purchase an additional expensive device. All you need is about 2 megabytes of free space on your flash drive or other USB gadget, such as an MP3 player, PDA or even a USB-pluggable mobile handset.
How does it work? Our software, Double Password, installs onto your flash drive. When you type a password, the program intercepts it and converts it into a super-strong password string on-the-fly. You can use simple, easy-to-remember passwords without the risk of being cracked.Another benefit of using Double Password is that nobody can steal your passwords. Spy programs are useless. Even if someone gets the "weak" password that you type on the keyboard, it means nothing. This password will only work when your USB flash is inserted. While typical hardware locks will work only with software that supports secure tokens, Double Password works with any software. It simply substitutes your weak password with a strong one.Double Password can be effectively used to securely lock your Windows account, to protect your laptop and to bring a new level of security to all software that uses password authentication.

Safety from fake login pages

Protect yourself from fake login pages
Using fake login pages is the easiest way to hack passwords. Identifying a fake login page is very easy but many people neglect to do some small checks before entering the login details and fall in the trap. I have seen a person paying 500$ for a fake login page of paypal. This proves that there are still people falling in this trap. This is just an example, there are many fake websites of banks, yahoomail, gmail, orkut, myspace etc …This post is an attempt to show what a hacker does to hack your password using fake login pages and how to protect yourself from those fake logins.I will try to keep this post as simple as possible, there may be some technical details which you can safely skip.Warning: I strongly advice you not to try this on anyone it may spoil your relation with the person on whom you are trying it and you may even end up behind the bars. What goes on behind when you enter your login details in login form??When you enter your login details in any login form and hit enter they are submitted to another page which reads these login details and checks the database if you entered the correct username and passowrd, if yes then you will be taken to your account else you will get an error page. What an hacker does??A hacker creates a fake page which looks exactly same as the original page and some how tricks you to enter your login details in that page. These login details are then submitted to a file.At this stage the hacker has two optionsHe can either store the login details on his server or he can directly get them mailed to his email id. All the above said things happen behind the scenes, you will have no clue of it. When you enter you login details for the first time your details are submitted to the hacker and you will be directed to a error page ( this is the original error page). When you enter ur login details again you will be logged in to your account. It’s quite common for us to enter the login details wrongly sometimes so you will not become suspicious when you get the error page. How to identify fake login page traps ??1. Never enter you login details in unknown sites.2. Always type the address directly in to the browser.3. Do not follows the links you get in mails and chatting even if they are from your friends4. Always have a keen look in the address bar and verify if the address is correct. Check the screen shot below. Some people buy doamins which look simliar to the original site example: 0rkut for orkut, pay-pal for paypal, yahooo for yahoo. Some times you may over look these small differences and fall in trap.5. Please do report to the hosting site or the original site owner when you find a fake login page.6. If you feel like you entered your details in a fake login page change your password immediatley. Now let’s go on with the trick..You have to upload the fake login page on some server with php support. There are many free web hosting services available on the net, first sign up for anyone of them.Google for some free webhosting services, you will find many. Upload the files in the zipped folder on to your server and give the link of the fake login page to the person whose password you want to know. When the person enters his email id and password in to the fake login page they will be stored in a HTML file named “passwd.htm” on your server in the same directory where you uploaded the login page. Check that text file to get the passwords you wanted. Here is the demo of the trickNote:Don’t enter your actual passwordclick this link to view the fake login page of yahooThe password you entered is saved into this page
